Yamaha 130 rev limit?
I recently bought a used Yamaha 130 hp 2-stroke (late 90s model). The reservoir External mixing precision is missing, so I ran a while just to extend the principal when the rev-limit is going to 2,000 rpm. In the meantime, I acquired and I tried to connect the auxiliary reservoir, but the rev-limit seems to be stuck. I tried cleaning the sensor of the gauge, as well as run with the sensor unplugged, but the RPMs are still limited to 2,000. What other problems possible should I look for? There is no service Yamaha and mechanical cultivation in the country where my boat. - The engine seems to be the guardian limp / mode, but the float switch is on. We put on a multimeter and the three sensors seem to work.
Yamaha support on the line, but since you have limited access to a mechanic, I order a service manual for your engine, then follow the diagnostic procedure for this component.
