instant yeast a red label vs. saf gold label?
I bought the package label 500g SAF-Instant Yeast gold. I just read somewhere that the label is gold "for the sweet dough varieties (with a sugar content of more than 5% weight total flour). "Does that mean I can not use it in regular pasta? Does it affect the taste, if so, how?
Dandyrol - A moment of gold label-saf yeast is a yeast professional force. And work better in a high sugar or high pulp type dry yeast acid regural. But I do not see why it should not be used in other pastas as well. As you probably know yeast feeds sugar. But for a lot of sugar will delay the action of yeast regural the same way that salt does.
