Rebel Lures
Attention Bass Fishermen, Would you use these lures in a tournament?
Now is the time of year when I do my occasional Forray Bass Fishing. I guess you can say I'm "old school" because I do not use plastic worms, I do not use the command following and take my share of beautiful fish. 1. Lazy Ike 2. Mirro-Lure 3. Jitterbug / Hula-Popper 4. 5 Rebel crayfish. Mister Twister (original) 3 "yellow and black I'm gone with a friend of mine who is a serious tournament fisherman and he laughed off his tail when I took my little tackle box and lures hanful. I caught as many as he did. My question is that what do you use some of these old school lures at a tournament, and if so, how can they exercise? "long as you order fish in a straight rod with a reel ugly stik Penn ..." What should I use? LOL
I do not fish tournaments more, but I will say something that you already know fish tend to strike lures that is not thrown at all day throughout the day. Something that had not seen, or perhaps ever seen can sometimes be fatal. And the lures you mentioned have withstood the test time, they caught fish when they were new, and they continue to catch fish. I have several "old reliable and efficient" in my box that I sometimes go fishing when is too slow. There was a lot of lures that have stormed the market, and after about 4 years, you could not pay for a fish to bite, they will never reach the status of the "old reliable" You see, obviously the fish did not know they were not supposed to strike your lure.
