Feet Fishing
I have a Bengal cat who has fully webbed feet, like the fishing cats. Is this unusual for the breed?
I have searched the internet and can only find one other Bengal who has this and he only has partially webbed feet.
This site http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bengal_%28cat%29 will explain how the Bengal hybrid came to be. From what I have read and also from reading this site http://www.hdw-inc.com/wildcatsphotos6.htm I am assuming that somewhere in your cat's lineage a Fishing Cat was involved. Notice I said "assume" as I dont know enough about breeding and genetics to know if those species can breed with each other. Or it's simply a genetic mutation that your cat is one of the lucky ones to have webbed feet. Does your cat like to swim?
