Color Sunrise

Why does the sun turn orange at sunset or sunrise?

Why does it do this if the sun stays the same color?

The sun doesn't really change color, it's just that from your perspective it changes color. The reason is that as the sun lowers in the horizon the sunlight has to travel through much more fine particulate matter and the related angle disfuses such that the brighter/whiter wavelengths get to bounce more.
